Soaring Eagle Missions

Designed to bring the mission field to our ECA classrooms, the Soaring Eagle program will enable students, faculty and alumni of Elkhart Christian Academy to experience foreign missions firsthand.

Endowed by a generous foundation grant, Elkhart Christian Academy is able to offer this wonderful program that will help us to instill a passion for spreading the good news of Christ to the world. The Soaring Eagle program will help us fulfill the evangelism aspect of our mission.

Junior and Senior Program

This program provides assistance for incoming 11th and 12th grade high school students who are planning on making Christ known among the nations on a short term foreign missions trip.

Qualified students may receive up to $500 in needs-based finacial assistance for their mission trip taken through their church and/or sending agency. Applications will be received from January 1 through March 1 and award recipients will be announced by May 1.

A non-refundable fee of $25 must be included with the application. Upon award of financial assistance, the application fee and the award will be forwarded directly to the sending agency.

Graduate Program

This program provides financial assistance to ECA graduates who will be studying abroad in the pursuit of world missions.

The graduate program is designed to assist the student on his/her post-secondary education while embarking on an internship, student-teaching assignment or semester of study on a foreign field.

Qualified graduates may receive up to $2,500 in needs-based financial assistance for their study, room & board, and/or travel expenses. Awards will be sent directly to the educational institution. Applications will be received from March 1 through May 1 for fall semester and August 1 through October 1 for spring and summer semesters.

Alumni Missionary Program

Financial support is provided to ECA alumni who are serving the Lord in full-time vocational service on a foreign field.

The funds are designated to support the alumni's annual financial support needs or special field project needs central to the ministry development.

Qualified alumni may receive up to $2,500 in needs-based financial aid, sent directly to the sponsoring agency.

Applications will be received from May 1 through August 1 for the following calendar year needs. Award recipients will be announced by October 1.

Faculty Missions Program

The faculty mission program enables ECA faculty to serve the Lord by participating in short-term mission trips.

Faculty may receive up to $250 per week in needs- based financial assistance for foreign mission work ($2,000 maximum).

Applications will be received from December 1 through February 1. Award recipients will be announced by March 1.

Faculty Sabbatical Program

This program will enable an ECA faculty member to embark on a one-year sabbatical to work on a foreign mission field.

The award recipient may receive up to $2,000 per month in financial assistance to aid in their ministry ($24,000 maximum).

Applications will be received from July 1 through September 1 for a sabbatical the following academic school year. The recipient of this award will be announced by December 1.
