The Elkhart Christian Academy Pre-Kindergarten program addresses nationally recognized benchmark standards. When students leave our program, they are more than ready for the rigorous challenges of our Elementary School.
The language arts curriculum starts with solid letter recognition and basic phonics. The program is focused on pre-reading skills that position many of our Pre-K students to be able to spell and read beginning words as they head to kindergarten. Pre-K students are also introduced to number recognition and number sense through hands-on, center based learning. The academic program also includes science and social studies, through unit based curriculum, as well as Bible, music, physical education, and art in the classroom. What makes the ECA Pre-K program distinctive is the complete commitment to teach every subject from a Biblical worldview perspective, just as our Elementary School and Secondary School does. The Pre-K program at ECA is a safe, fun, and nurturing environment aimed at instilling a life-long love of learning.
